Clipboard Jobs SMS Terms & Conditions

Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 7, 2026

Welcome to Clipboard Jobs (formerly Job Buddy)! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, mobile applications, and automated messaging services (collectively, the "Service") owned and operated by Twomagnets Inc. (doing business as "Clipboard Jobs", "we," "our," or "us").

By creating an account, entering your information, or using any part of our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service.

1. Clipboard Jobs Services & Power of Attorney

When you sign up for a Clipboard Jobs account, you explicitly authorize Twomagnets Inc. dba Clipboard Jobs to act as your authorized agent and proxy representative to secure a job offer on your behalf. By enrolling, you grant Clipboard Jobs the power and authority to perform the following actions under your identity:

  • Application & Platform Management: Create accounts on third-party Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), submit job applications, and complete pre-screening questionnaires using your provided personal details, resume, and history.
  • Acting on Your Behalf & AI-Assisted Screenings: Act as your authorized agent: represent you, communicate with employers on your behalf, and complete automated or AI-driven screening interviews, assessments, and technical evaluations for you.
  • Employer Coordination: Receive, read, and respond directly to employer inquiries, text messages, and emails to manage interview scheduling and application follow-ups.

User Liability Waiver: You acknowledge that while Clipboard Jobs acts on your behalf to secure job offers, you assume all professional and legal responsibility for the accuracy of information submitted. Clipboard Jobs is not liable for any employment offers rescinded, applications rejected, or disputes arising from employers discovering the use of our automated or proxy representation services.

2. Accuracy of User Data & Background Checks

You agree to provide entirely accurate, current, and truthful information regarding your work history, education, skills, certifications, and legal right to work. Clipboard Jobs does not independently verify the background, credentials, or resume details provided by users.

You assume sole liability and hold Clipboard Jobs harmless for any discrepancies discovered by employers, including but not limited to failed background checks, rescinded job offers, or termination of employment due to inaccurate or misleading information submitted on your behalf.

3. Creation of Third-Party Accounts

To facilitate applications, you authorize Clipboard Jobs to create user accounts and profiles on third-party employer job portals, corporate career sites, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, Lever) under your name and using your credentials. Clipboard Jobs will manage these accounts solely for the purpose of job acquisition. You acknowledge that these third-party portals are governed by their own respective Terms of Service, and you agree to abide by them.

4. Clipboard Jobs SMS Terms & Conditions (Mobile Messaging)

By explicitly opting in to receive SMS updates from Clipboard Jobs and providing your phone number at sign-up, you agree to the following mobile messaging terms:

  • Program Description: You can expect to receive text messages regarding interview coordination, application status updates, screening questions, and follow-ups between employers and candidates.
  • Cancellation/Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to our number. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
  • Support: If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at support@heyjobbuddy.com.
  • Carrier Liability: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Rates & Frequency: As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies based on your active job applications, interview schedules, and employer outreach. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.

5. No Guarantee of Interviews or Employment

Clipboard Jobs acts as a facilitator to streamline and automate the job application process. We make no guarantees, express or implied, regarding the number of employer responses, interviews, or final job offers a user will receive. The final hiring decision rests entirely with the respective employers. Clipboard Jobs is not responsible for market conditions, employer hiring pauses, economic shifts, or algorithmic rejections by third-party hiring platforms.

6. Termination and Revocation of Authority

You may terminate your account and revoke Clipboard Jobs’ authority to act on your behalf at any time by contacting support@heyjobbuddy.com or adjusting your account settings.

Upon termination, Clipboard Jobs will immediately cease submitting new applications and communicating with employers on your behalf. However, Clipboard Jobs is not responsible for deleting, withdrawing, or managing applications that were already submitted to third-party employers prior to the effective date of termination.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Twomagnets Inc. dba Clipboard Jobs, its directors, employees, or partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
