Clipboard Jobs (formerly Job Buddy) ("we," "our," or "us") is a product owned and operated by Twomagnets Inc. (doing business as "Clipboard Jobs"). This Privacy Policy explains how Twomagnets Inc. dba Clipboard Jobs collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our website, mobile application, and messaging services (collectively, the "Service") to coordinate interviews and application questions between employers and candidates.

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked with you ("Personal Information"). This includes:

  • Account Data: Name, email address, phone number, and account preferences when you register as a candidate or employer.
  • Address Data: Your home or mailing address, which we use to calculate distances to job locations, match you with nearby jobs, and complete job applications that ask for your address.
  • Profile & Application Data: Resumes, job history, education, skills, and responses to application questions submitted by candidates, as well as job descriptions posted by employers.
  • Communication & Mobile Data: Phone numbers, SMS opt-in consent, and the content of messages exchanged through our platform to coordinate interviews.
  • Usage & Technical Data: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and information about how you interact with our website and mobile application via cookies and similar tracking technologies.
  • Analytics & Diagnostics Data: Information about how you use the Service, such as pages and screens viewed and features used, along with crash reports, performance data, and session recordings of your interactions with the Service, collected through our analytics and diagnostics service providers.
  • Push Notification Data: If you allow notifications in our mobile application, a push notification token and device identifiers used to deliver notifications to your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following business purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and provide the core features of the Clipboard Jobs platform.
  • To calculate distances to job locations and match you with jobs near your address.
  • To facilitate communication, interview scheduling, and application screening between candidates and employers.

  • To send you push notifications about your job search, if you allow them.
  • To understand how the Service is used, diagnose errors, and monitor performance.
  • To improve, optimize, and personalize our Service based on user behavior and feedback.
  • To prevent fraud, secure our systems, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Text Messaging & Mobile Privacy (A2P 10DLC Compliance)

Clipboard Jobs is committed to protecting the privacy of mobile information collected through our SMS services.

  • SMS Opt-In Consent: We collect your phone number and explicit consent when you sign up to receive mobile updates. Consent is obtained via clear, unchecked boxes on our registration or application forms.
  • Strict Non-Sharing Policy: Clipboard Jobs does not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer for profit any phone numbers or customer consent information collected through our SMS program.
  • Carrier Mandatory Clause: Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile data is strictly confidential and used solely to facilitate interactions between candidates and employers on our platform.

4. How We Share Your Information

We only share your Personal Information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Between Candidates and Employers: We share candidate profiles, resumes, and application answers (including your address when an application asks for it) with the respective employers you apply to. We share employer details and job requirements with candidates.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as cloud hosting, payment processing, SMS delivery infrastructure like Twilio, address lookup and mapping like Google Maps, analytics and diagnostics, and push notification delivery). These providers are legally bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
  • Profile Processing by Service Providers: Your profile information (for example, your resume, work history, and job preferences) may be processed by third-party service providers, including AI service providers, to provide and improve job matching and interview scheduling. These providers process your information under confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We do not sell your Personal Information.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or if we believe such action is necessary to comply with legal processes or protect the safety and rights of our users.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as a business asset.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Deletion: The right to request that we delete your personal account data (subject to certain legal exceptions).

After you confirm, your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period, during which you can sign in and cancel the request.
  • Push Notifications: You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings.
  • SMS Opt-Out: You can opt-out of receiving text messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any mobile message received from Clipboard Jobs.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
